Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice is a national network of crime survivors joining together to create healing communities and shape public safety policy. We are a flagship project of Alliance for Safety and Justice.

Our goal is to increase power in marginalized, predominantly Black communities. We believe that effective voting allows a community to determine its own destiny.

Mental Health Resources

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)

– NAMI provides education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families affected by mental illness. Their website offers resources, helplines, and community programs to promote mental health awareness and recovery.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

– The 988 Lifeline is a free, confidential support service available 24/7 for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress. Call, text, or chat with trained counselors who provide immediate assistance and guidance.

Mental Health America

– This resource offers data and insights on the state of mental health across the U.S., highlighting access to care, prevalence of mental health conditions, and advocacy efforts. It helps individuals and policymakers understand and address mental health needs at local and national levels.

The second installment of the “Archaeology of Silence” Speaker series, “A Father’s Heart,” was held at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. It brought together Black men who had lost their children to state violence and spotlighted their national efforts to support the healing of other fathers and loved ones who had experienced similar trauma. The esteemed speakers confirmed for the event were present.
