Turning Pain Into Purpose – Developing the Path to Justice

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The DJT Justice Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to driving meaningful change in the fight for social justice, police reform, and mental health crisis intervention. Founded in honor of Darius Jerrell Tarver, our mission is to turn grief into action—advocating for justice, demanding accountability, and ensuring that no family suffers in silence.

Inspired by the principles of non-violence and peaceful resistance, we stand on the shoulders of civil rights leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as we push forward in the pursuit of equity, reform, and systemic change.

We are a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting ONE STANDARD of justice—where every individual, regardless of race, religion, national origin, or gender, is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect. Through education, advocacy, and policy reform, we equip communities with the tools to understand qualified immunity, navigate legal systems, and access the resources necessary to fight against police brutality and injustice.

Our goal is to spearhead legislative change at both the state and federal levels, ensuring that justice is not just an ideal but a reality for all.

Our Mission:

Educate, Advocate, and Reform

Reform: Changing the System
The way mental health crises are handled in America is fundamentally broken. Too often, individuals experiencing crises are met with force instead of care. We advocate for the establishment of dedicated mental health crisis centers—places that are neither hospitals nor jails—where people can receive treatment rather than being arrested or killed.

Community Outreach: Empowering People
We believe that true change begins with empowered communities. By providing access to education, legal resources, and support networks, we help individuals understand their rights and take meaningful action. When people are equipped with knowledge, they become powerful agents of change.

Define, Demand, and Enact Policy: Turning Voices into Action
Protests and movements without clear demands often lose momentum. At DJT Justice Network, we work to define actionable policies, demand accountability, and enact real legislative change. We bring people together, tell the stories that need to be heard, and fight for solutions that lead to lasting justice.
